Kevlar is the brand name of an aramid fiber material product developed by DuPont in the United States. It is not the scientific name of this material. Its scientific name is "poly(p-phenylene terephthalamide)". The original product of Kevlar is mainly in fiber form. In the process of application, it is mostly woven into a secondary product similar to cloth by mechanical weaving. Then it is made into the required finished product by multi-layer stacking and pressing. For example, the inside of a bulletproof vest is actually made of dozens of layers of Kevlar; there are also helmets, which are pressed out of Kevlar material layer by layer; even the fuel tank of the US Apache attack helicopter is covered with multiple layers of Kevlar material (of course there will be other protection).
